SORCERERS SAFARI Summer Camp
August 25th - 31st,
2007 |
A Sorcerers Safari councilor's mission is
to instill an appreciation for and promote the art of magic through
professional instruction and diverse performances. Their mission also
includes helping our young magicians hone their craft to achieve the
next level while having fun. Sorcerers Safari provides participants with
the opportunity to meet and work with people throughout the magic
community.

Special Guest of the Sorcerers
Safari Summer Magic Camp
|
 |
2007's special
guest magician is Wayne Houchin from
Chico, California.
Wayne Houchin
He
was hired as a consultant on the hit national
television series "Criss Angel: Mindfreak."
Two years before he released the groundbreaking
DVD "Stigmata" which garnered widespread
critical acclaim within the magic community and
became an instant international bestseller. And
if you ask Wayne, this is just the beginning.
In 2003, an underground tape of
Wayne's original work found its way into the
hands of Banachek, one of the world's foremost
mentalists, who immediately recognized it
potential. It wasn't long before the two became
friends. So, when Banachek was hired as a
consultant for the A&E series "Criss Angel:
Mindfreak" and was asked if he knew of any
underground, up and coming magicians, one name
stood out.
Houchin came on board, agreed to allow a few of
his original pieces of magic to be
performed on the show and subsequently shot a
DVD teaching how to perform his impromptu
signed quarter through soda can, "Sinful,"
with Angel. The DVD was an instant hit and was
hailed largely as one of the best impromptu
effects ever created.

Aaron Fisher
I know that people love to laugh,
and more than that, they love to laugh together. I first learned
this secret performing sleight of hand magic at the Maryland
Renaissance Festival. I was 17.
I know the people love special
occasions – those moments that make us remember how much fun
life can be. I discovered this when I was 21, performing at
Caesar’s Palace and other Las Vegas Hotels. That’s where I
really learned how to help people celebrate. It was my job to
give my guests enough memories in one night to last
a lifetime. I hope to share this
excitement with the campers this year. For more information
